The Perfect Protein Glazed Donut Recipe
- 2 scoops French Vanilla ESSENTIAL Protein Powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 cup almond meal
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 2 Tbsp. coconut oil
- 3 large eggs - egg whites only
- 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 3 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Combine dry ingredients in a bowl. Add wet ingredients & mix until smooth and there are no dry lumps. Grease tray with coconut oil (We suggest a small amount on a paper towel and rubbing it in each donut spot). Bake for 12 mins then test with a toothpick. If it comes out clean, they're done!
In a medium bowl whisk together the powdered sugar, vanilla extract and salt. Add 1 tablespoon of milk, and whisk to combine. If the glaze is too thick, add additional milk half a teaspoon at a time until the glaze creates a constant ribbon from your whisk, but not thin enough that it can't be lifted.
